THIS IS DANIEL HERE.

CALEB'S MOM HAS OFFERED TO BOOK FOR US A CHALET FOR OUR 4F CLASS GATHERING.

Would u guys be free on the 22,23,24 Jan 2010? It is a friday, saturday and sunday. Please confirm your attendenece to bao xian or any class committee asap. We choose the weekends so that most of the poly people can come and join us, and on that dates before those who are going army in 6feb or something (bi yang). Ching yang can join us since he book out??

hi everyone!
sorry bout the many changes regarding our dear class chalet.

there are several things we need to incorporate:
> the time the guys enter the ns in their fancy green outfits
> our kmany many differently timed holidays thanks to the many crossroads and options offered by the education system,man.

so that's why there are a range of dates to um,vote i guess, for.
it will be 3d2n so either:
> 26th - 31st of dec or
> 8th - 10th jan

pls sms,email or contact us (class comm 06/07) somehow to tell us
1.which dates are good (any 3 days)
2. and if the other dates you dissed are because you're not gonna be in town.
those would really help us include as many many many peeps as possible,dont we all miss each other??right.

4F Class Gathering!

HELLO GUYS! Daniel here!

I dont know how many of you still visit this blog, however I would like to thank all of you guys for coming for the gathering. The attendence was like 35, only 6 could not make it with valid reason! Thank you guys!

Despite some accidents that happened during the gathering, I am sure that we have enjoyed ourselves and our friendship have gone from strength to strength. The dunking was great. Happy birthday to the Jan Babies again. Samuel (8th Jan), Keith (9th Jan), Joseph (3rd Jan) and Me. Lol.

Class chalet coming up after the A levels. Hope to see you there again!

super belated thanks for paying me 80 bucks,our tables are confirmed,39 seats in all (at 35 from our class) the other 4 are from other classes.the remaining one seat will be filled by someone else,who that lucky fellow is,i have no idea.

whether we'll get individual tix anot,i really dunno,but if we dont then check on that day itself for tables booked under my name,or if it's not in that format then check your own names.yup.

as for the theme,i checked today,and apparently there isn't one,so iguess if you turn up with clothes on and follow the proper dress code for a dinner it should be ok.i got a number of postcards with the details,if you want them you can either get them from the general office in fairfield itself,or i can pass them to you if i see you.

the postcard states that it starts at 6.30 at swissotel the stamford,4th august.

hey peeps,again

there have been a few suggestions on the june hols outing thingy so far,like erm, a movie, soccer and class chalet, but i guess we'll stick to the more logical first two...
anyway, if anyone else has anymore suggestions please do tag or just send me an email, also, please do tell me when you guys will be free,was thinking of the first few days or so,in that case more ppl may be around or sth,tell me anyway

another thing is the founder's day dinner!!!
it's on the 4th of August (monday night) at one of the hotels in Singapore, the Swiss Hotel i think.will put up another post once i get more details.
anyway,was thinking of attending the dinner as a class,but we'll need to get the details of who is going and who isn't together,because there are limited seats for the cheaper tix (which is $80 per person) and a table is only considered booked when the money is in.

so please start telling me if you guys can make it,email or sms will be fine,and also please get the money ready so when official booking starts it will be a lot easier to collect it and book the tables,it's 10 to a table by the way.

groundzero is an event held by my church that will take place over a course of a few weeks.
here's the infomation you NEED to know:
1.you'll be forming up teams with us - bao, del, me and my cellmates (if enough people come.. i think we can form one whole team by ourselves!) we need 12 people!
2. we'll be playing 9 games on 5 sundays (13 and 27 apr, 11 and 18 may and the 1st June)
3. meeting point is at our church (SJSM... haha the church across UWC) at 1030 on those sundays..
4.we'll be playing at river valley pri school.. transport will be provided

HELLO GUYS keith here...

i'm blogging again lol cause i promised shawn and samipotato quite a while back..
its was great seeing everyone again, as if its really catching up with distant relatives for a reunion. (its suppose to be a reunion right?) and yeshh we are family man...

totally missed out on phototaking after collection of results, i'm so glad we did during the dinner!! hope delci can upload them soon! my only regret is that we didnt sit around and pray together before leaving... but its ok, i can pray for us all anytime. hahah!

this sounds cheesy la... but really. for some of you, the moment i saw ur faces it was like "AHHH THIS GUY, I MISS HIM SO MUCHH" kinda attitude.. maybe cause the last time i saw him/her was last year after Os? thats such a long time ago!

i shall dedicate some stuff to various groups of 4ffians...

to the BAND F ENGLISH GUYS, the guys that always relac 1 korner (literally) at the end of the classroom. i really miss us just crapping with miss w*ng... or just crapping. and then miss wong looking at me like i started it all!!! (daniel..........)
wilson and zijian too for making the "ch*n hei" cheer. it goes "ch*n hei, ch*n hei, ch*nheich*nheich*nhei. whahahhaha....
it was so fun la. come to think of it the service learning thing... was quite funny how miss w*ng reacted. i should have thrown the chair at her man.. it was surprising that she was kinda happy with me finally after results collection..

to the AMATHS REJECTS, which only consisted of only a few guys right to the end of the study period. though we arent really bonded in terms of friends or dota or wadever, but just me and the few of you cramming our TYS with miss lee really forged a strong kind of bond. its like. we did it together... we saw the results together. and i'm so happy for all of us!! how many of us ah... (jerome, biyang, chingyang, danieltan, cant rmb le....) studying together was hell of a great experience. hell.

to the CHINESE x2 GUYS, dont have much to say because my chinese score didnt improve LOL. however, most of the credit goes to XU LAO SHI for being so patient and for giving solid advice!! but shootingstar.. hmm.
we were so united la!! i cant believe i too was doing amaths in chinese lesson... it was fun how only the first 2 rows of kids were listening. and the rest were getting paper aeroplanes stuck up the air con (samuel lum?) whahhaha...
to the rest who got As for chinese... get lost la. loll.....

and lastly, to the PRAYER GROUP. or rather, the whole class in general, esp when Olevels were around. you guys have been so caring and kind, as well as always concerned over every small thing.
what started as a group of 15 ppl eventually branched... its really so great to have friends praying for each other and all... i want to thank the people who prayed for me too! God has done a great work and i'm sure many of us witnessed it during our results...
for those who were disappointed... trust that our God is a great God, and his plan for you is never bad. its always great. also, its not about what we do in the future, but HOW we do it...
hmm digressed.

i really wish i can do the "write something for everyone in the class" thingy that samuel did, but its 220 and i'm tired.. hahas. maybeee next week ba.

you can take 184 from clementi mrt or 852 from bukit batok. If coming from clementi take from e side without macs and press e bell once you see a giant COURTS. =) you shd see like 3 petrol stations too. For those coming from bukit batok get off at e second stop after the firestation. If you pass COURTS get off and walk back cos you missed your stop =)
time: 7pm (you’ll come at 7.30-8 anyways so what the heck)
bring about 10 bucks for e food and extra change of clothing and towel just in case! There’s a pool. hint hint.

was thinking of having a 'reunion dinner' for 4f, cause we won't ever meet formally as a class again since there is no more compulsary stuff to go back to school for and all.was thinking of having it round the 1st or 2nd of feb (friday and sat), it's a week before the actual chinese new year, but i do need to know if you guys are agreeable with the idea, and can make it on those dates.

just to make this post more relevant and longer, here's some stuff that would go into the dinner thingy if we have it:
-we'll probably have it at ian's place, the function room (ian get back to me bout the availability!!)
-food!!! was thinking bout having it 'pot-luck' style, but robin suggested having it catered and everyone paying a small sum, so suggestions please
-activities before/during/after dinner, cause we don't wanna be like old folks stuffing ourselves without doing anything else ya??

yup, so please tell me if you guys want it, and suggest a date/place/food arrangement if you don't like the present ones by sms(preferably) if not email will do fine too,and better still,if anyone would like a hand in planning this,i'll be more than happy.try reply me asap,esp since the suggested date is really,really near.

If you are interested, i am considering playing touch rugby with you guys on thursday.attire's simple,canter shorts and rugby shirts.ok kidding, just pe shirt and shorts.up to you.as long as its comfortable.

Rules are easy for those unsure, just put the ball down when u are touched, then second player comes and passes the ball to someone else to cont.Max touches is 5 before changeover.

I'll lead stretching and warm up no worries so u won't feel like dying when u go back to sch on fri while i don't need to.lol.

I'll provide the ball and we'll play only if there is substantial interest.sms me if u are intersted.won't be disappointed, i assure u.we'll play if there is at least 10 ppl interested:)

Okay… since keith asked me to post my very first post.. I did so… see so obedient right?
Lol…

Ever since the new year started, school was like all orientation… and we were like all flooded with new names and faces and up to our necks with lectures…but other than that and the dances we were forced to do.. all else went fine…

New teachers, new school, new surroundings, new friends, new everything… so many new things. After a while it’s like you’ll tend to miss the past… the jokes… the noise… the randomness of everything (esp. slay’s jokes)… and things happened so quickly it seemed like yesterday…

I miss everyone from FMSS esp 4f peeps. (I start getting emo already)… its like all the fun we had together.. fun that lasts forever.. in you.. you and me.. where we can be free.. (sry got distracted)…

Now that we’re all in our new school, (or at least most of us), I think we’re bz with our own stuff… but we’ll all meet again soon!!! Im sure… when we get our results back… hahas… hopefully that’s the day when we will be really happy when we get back our results and meet up with one another again!!

hi, i guess, my first post

it's been really weird looking back and all.thinking back, looking back or whatever, it's been pretty amazing how i spent the last 4 years, the last 2 especially.i remember thinking that being in fmss would be temporary but turns out it wasnt, and it's just been incredible

the first day in jjc was close to a first-degree disaster, so basically, freaky. i found myself repeating to myself that it wasnt happening, that i wasnt there and DUH it didnt work. to start the hall was really dull and horrid, all dark and sad. then there was assembly, that left me feeling really empty and for the first time i was waiting for devotions, not wishing for whoever giving it to totally drop dead. yes, im emo.

5 hrs of talks was no joke, i slept, i chatted, i went to the loo just to waste time and somehow, there was still a heck lot of time left for speakers,crap.

cant wait for the day of the release of results, then i can go back and not feel at complete lost.just to be among familiar faces, and probably, hopefully, God willing, a change in jc.

and yes samuel, lam,stay away from my wallet,lolx

Samuel lam is crazy but thanks for my paragraph. I dont quite agree with Rophi's one though.

Its the 6th day of christmas lol unless i counted wrongly. And its the time for thanksgiving. So, I really thank God for a class that has been so dear and special to me. Samuel lam's words just reminded me of how I once felt that I didnt belong because i was supposed to be in 3d but transferred to 3e and then to 3f. And because most of you were from 2e? well, I really have to thank the whole class, well at least most of it for welcoming me haha. This year has been a real test of faith on my part, i've failed and i've passed. As we all reflect back on the year, (whether you do so intentionally or unintentionally) remember to look back in happiness, that every moment was essential and was part of the year. The good times for bringing us high, for bringing us the laughter, the smiles. The bad times for moulding us, for changing us for the better. So I salute you 4f, and may all of you have a blessed christmas and a happy new year!

Oh and i hope your orientation not that bad la lol.

Today was the last time we'll meet together in a classroom i think. I enjoyed physics wholeheartedly. I cannot count the times i have looked at the clock and sighed, saying "crap la one more period more." but now it seems I want more.

Delci says that when she posts, i should too. So here's a post.

Its saturday 1 15 am. And I think that Mao Zedong is an ass. But besides that point, we have around 50 plus more hours to the "O" levels itself. I can scarcely believe that we have arrived at this juncture. I dont know about you guys but I know I that I havent finished preparing for the O levels. Thoughts of just hanging out with friends after O levels excite me. And yet we're not even done with this phase. All of this is a rant. What I truly intend to say is all the best in every paper you do.

I pray that all you 4f, (and 4e i guess... ),

be ALERT on all math papers,
have the MEMORY to recall steps to solve a question or to answer an essay question
be PERSEVERANT. That you may all continue studying even for the mcqs
and last of all that you will all do the best that you can for His glory.

dear 4F,

i didnt post earlier cause i really didnt see the need too, those farewell notes and all they were great! but to me since we're still gonna see each other, no point as of yet. so look forward to class chalet! :)

anyway, we at the final end of our sec four or rather secondary life journey. yeah o's is here. we've presevered and endured four years alr and we're at the final step. it's exciting and scary and there's still another 3 weeks or so before it's really over and before we can really jump for joy. just wanted to share an passage from my devotion, that really encouraged me, it's titled, "CAll in to Jesus".

As a boy I remember listening to my bedside radio as I fell asleep. One of my favourite shows was Big Joe’s Happiness Exchange, beamed from the nearby New York City. The program always began with a deeply mellow and tender voice saying, “Have no fear, Big Joe is here,” and then he would sing…

Somebody cares about you and every little thing that you might do. Somebody cares if you sleep well at night, if your dreams have gone wrong or your day has gone right… Please believe me it’s so but in case you didn’t know, somebody cares…

Then people form all over the city would start to call in to Big Joe. With an understanding and quieting spirit he would listen and encourage those who were hurting and lonely. If they had material needs, other people would call in to offer help. It was a tangible, loving expression of grace and mercy.

But it doesn’t compare to what we have in Jesus. More caring than Big Joe and much more capable to meet our needs, Jesus is willing and able to be personally involved in our lives, to free our anxiety-ridden souls and come to our aid. Not limited to a one-hour-call-in program, our God is ‘a very present help in trouble’ (Psalm 46:1). When our troubles are so complex and over whelming that we don’t even know what to ask for, be assured that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, praying for us ‘with groaning too deep for words’ (Romans 8:26). When sin invades and corrupts our existence to the point that we feel too ashamed to call for help, be encouraged that Jesus ‘speaks to the Father in our defense’ (1 John 2:1).

Knowing that He is praying for me, anchors my soul with stability regardless of what is happening around me. When I feel lonely, rejected, misunderstood, or taken advantage of, I know that He has felt it all before. He understands and readily supplies grace and mercy.

While programs like Big Joe’s are a helpful commodity to out hurting world, I cant help but think about how much more wonderful Jesus is to me! He is ready and waiting… All we need to do is to call in, and to encourage others to do the same.

SLAY SPEAKS AGAIN!

hullo everyone.
i'm rotting again so i thought i should put the time into better use to encourage everyone!
sorry if i end up emo-ing.

anyways,
how's everyone doing?
i think there's a problem with our batch issit?
most of us seem to have lost motivation,
and some just started revising some HAVENT STARTED really.

well, whether or not we've started studying,
i challenge us to believe it's God's plan!
(that we're lazy? hmm..)
whatever it is,
many of us will spend hours just lying on our bed,
maybe crying to our pillows that we wasted time,
or am i just wierd?
okay, but i just hope that in the last three days and beyond,
we'll all put in our best effort no matter what yeah?!

if you've studied NONG NONG ago then push harder!
if you've just started then push even harder!
if you've NOT started then start NOW!

i blog that nobody feels like giving up,
and don't feel sad or guilty or pissed or angry with yourself,
there's still time to make a difference.
so just leave your idiotic or honeysweet or cucumbercold lifestyle behind and push yourself so hard during the Os!

as for me i'm really wasting time.
everyday just doing a few pages of work?
but i don't know why, i just feel happy!
it's like just go through the days kind of thing..

hopefully it brings us a long way in our lives.

i really don't know how to encourage lah,
i'm bad at that,
but what encourages me are the following things:

1. I wake up thinking of the kind of life i get to finally lead after Os. OMG. Those thoughts... sleep again...
2. I plan of what to do after Os. Works for me that i've numbed the guilt of not studying:P But i hope it gets you excited to want to push hard.
3. I listen to music. AND OMG F.I.R.! okay, FGS all of you stop! dling and sending music. i sincerely hope all of you who do that get caught! yeah and i'm guilty of making daniel send a few songs. but i've my ways of clearing my conscience.

Eunice S. here :) I just wanted to really say, really, THANK YOU all for the times we had in class. Yep, we've been through ups and downs, we've had our highs and lows but still, I'm glad we have stuck as a class. Special thanks to our class committees of 3F (Daniel Tan Sophia Daniel Sim Xinghui)/ 4F (Enping Baoxian Delci Yeongchuan) heh. You guys really have been greattt.

4 years have gone and to think that the first day I step on the school looking horrendously retarded by tucking in my uniform without tie. But now, I am about to leave Fairfield. Ohkay not exactly left yet, but last day of school is over.

We cant great teachers as a class anymore cant hear ms wong’s greeting anymore.ohkay i think i shouldnt rant here. hahas.... continue with what i have got to say. hmmm

Well I was posted to this class 4F, my first thought was. Why 4f?! my other friends are in 4D and 4E… I admit that at first I feel abit weird in the class and didn’t think that I will enjoy being in the class. But I can say that it is wrong! 3/4Fhas been the best class apart from 1b..we always keep our spirit high as a class and it is just so painful to see all of us going to different paths of our lives.. those who create stupid yet funny jokes that always brighten up our day at school. it is just so sad to post now coz it feels like we cant even communicate as a class and we need to do that by blogging..

Although I admit that there are still cliques in our class, but I am sure every class does have that too. But overall we are still VERY united I can say. During the cross country and the west coast beach cleaning. Hmm it’s more like outing than beach cleaning!I really look forward to the class chalet! Hope we have a hardcore fun for the last time as a class!

It is just so sad to see that each of us are going diff paths of our live..its like our class is getting more united already, yet we can’t really see each other anymore. I believe not only me who feels this way, but all our fellow 4Fians..

Really thank you for those who have been there for me, encourage me, help me and also spend time with me. no matter how many times i thank you all it just doesnt seem enough for me!
Thanks keith for always reminding me of God when I started to drift apart from Him.. and i am and all people who can stand my bullshitness...
Oh well, not to forget all the wonderful teachers that we have had!

I just want to say that I really love 4F.
it has been a great part of my life and also it is one of my motivations to go to school every single day!
for miss wong to read : the reason i will not pon school!

hmm after a few posts, i have finally decided to post..
took me a while emoing before i have made up my mind. i have learnt not to emo-rant straight away, but to consolidate and reflect before posting every single blog post... so these are well thought up words, hahaha!!
btw, chill. i'm sure to post one more time at least, haha.
4F... since 3F, many of you have brought happiness to my life. when i came in, there werent many old friends from sec1 and 2 classes, only fernando. many friendships had to be built, and rebuilt.
amongst which i'm thankful that so many of us are christian, easy to get along with. easy to openly share problems with. easy to pray for each other, its been such a blessing...
besides happiness though, sec4 had been the most "happenning" year of my life, with lotsa downs, and little ups. problems that no one has faced before did occur to me, on top of horrible results. NEVERTHELESS, you guys supported me all the way, though sometimes i feel lonely, but there will always be a few random people in whom god works so miraculously in to come up and ask "are u ok? wads been up?"
and its these little things that make 4F really special..

then came a time when i decided to make the cell group idea a reality, and thought praying for mid years (was it?) would be a good idea. the fire came for the whole term, almost every week smsing u guys, etc. and it was ministering, it was the best feeling i ever had with this class...

however, it dawned upon me after june that i wasnt cut out to be serving in ways like this when i couldnt handle basic disciplines like studies and homework.. getting into trouble with miss wong, ong, etc. i kinda lost it... i felt colder, isolated from the smarts of this class, so distant..

after a while though, delci picked up the prayer group again, and i was really happy someone else could rise up for it, someone who i know would be a good role model to lead us. and then i fell right back to where i was before, with christians praying and gathering all around again.

this farewell was unlike others.. i'm happy, i feel accomplished and touched... and even though part of me wants to leave, but then on the friday itself, i couldnt, really. i find myself so already deeply rooted into the fairfield culture and everything the teachers said made my heart tear. (not eyes so u dun really see anth) especially miss lee.
recovering from what breaks u really makes u stronger, and 4F has led me to become the person i am now, (its the total opposite from sec2.. if u read my blog's archives hahahaha)
finally, for everybody. and i hope my encouragement still counts: JIAYOU AND PUSH LIKE U"VE NEVER DONE BEFORE. 2 weeks determine ur path. so GO AHEAD AND PUSH!!!

YES GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!

i know its weird, but i've just realized, we'll probably never hear miss wong say that particular phrase ever again. its been 2 years if hearing her say that in class, and i never really gave much thought about it, till now, i suppose i'm really going to miss it. what other teacher gives everyone such a laugh or guffaw everytime she or he greets them? seriously, we die of laughter every single time she walks in and yells that. i do, at least.

i rmb when i first got posted to 4F aft sec 2, i was so darn disappointed to get into 4F. i wanted to go to 4E so badly, cause i thought 4F was such a boring class.

i guess i was wrong.

although i admit there's still clique-ness, if there's such a word, present in the class, we're still rather united i'd say. we've bonded a lot in the past 2 years, and to have come so far and still keep together is a big achievement. hahah, i miss all of you alrd. its funny how we only feel this way when its all over, but that's just how it goes isn't it. i'm actually proud to be the class captain of 4F, (although i know i don't do much and i'm rather irresponsible), and i'll never forget this class, in the years to come.

alright, hahah, i've only one last thing to say, all the best for all of your o's, yeah? i'll see y'all aft exams i hope! and we're so gonna have some serious fun in the chalet. as we go our separate ways, we know that 4F's always in our hearts, right? hellyeah.

it's been two years already...
gawd, still remember first day of 3F,
when ms wong was crazily mad about latecomers.

i've got so much to say,
but i think i'll sieve out the emo parts,
they're on my blog alr anw.

anyway i want to thank the whole class,
for all the memories and friendships,
and how lessons were the most exciting parts of our journey (even with the boringest teachers).
i will forget everything from language to sciences to math,
but i'll never forget all of you!

though our class is not so bonded 'cause we've got alot of cliques here and there,
but deep inside us we know we want to be a class as a whole,
and i think that's good enough.
we still have time! we've got the chalet.

and i wanna thank everyone who had been and are supporting me in pursuing my dreams,
esp those who've prayed for me or encouraged me,
i promise everyone first-hand info and special editions in the future (but not free albums).

My memories of 4 F
A wonderful 2 years, with highlights from the rainy day in cross country where we sang our hearts out. Our outing to east/west coast park. Though we were HARDLY a class at all in sec 3f, being split into factions all around ( i dont deny that we still are) but we have bonded so much more. Prayer meetings, outings and such. Perhaps its too much to say if i said I love you guys, more of " You guys have left your imprints in my life. Just like footsteps on the beach, each unique and beautiful in their own way. " People have written possibly a whole essay on their class, I leave this part hanging because I believe that our two years have been indescribable, a roller coaster of events ending with a climax down and we're back on the platform waiting and wondering what the next ride will be, Words unspoken usually mean the most.
